Youth Spirit Artworks – Tiny House Village at the Oakland Coliseum
Kehilla volunteers have worked hard over the past year to help turn the dream of Tiny Houses for homeless youth into a reality, and it’s almost move-in time at the Tiny House Village created by Youth Spirit Artworks at the Oakland Coliseum.
Kehilla’s fearless build leader Nikee Borden has organized the Kehilla team to help with the “move in” at the Youth Spirit Artworks Tiny House Village on Sunday, November 29th. Several of us will meet at YSA in Berkeley to help transport stuff to the Oakland Coliseum Village location. We’re also gathering donations and a gift basket to help furnish these new homes. You can contribute here.
Nikee would like to create a Kehilla “card” to express our good wishes to the newly housed occupants who will soon move into the houses we helped to build. It’s not practical to collect signatures in person, but I plan to create one or more collages of images and messages from Kehilla, so please send your contribution to me electronically, and I’ll make sure they are included.
