Visioning Climate Justice – More Details

EVENT CANCELLED

We are sad and disappointed not to be able to offer this opportunity to hear inspiring Lisjan/Ohlone leader Corrina Gould and our youth activists, and to connect with each other around climate justice. We are happy to issue refunds for your ticket purchases, but as this event was planned as Kehilla’s major fundraiser of the year, we hope you will consider making your ticket purchase a donation. These annual events raise critically needed funds to support all of our programs: our spiritual activities, our school, our work to support immigrants and refugees, our interfaith collaborations, and our economic and racial justice work. Of course, if you would prefer a refund, we will issue one; please email your request to molly@kehillasynagogue.org

We very much appreciate your understanding, and look forward to bringing you amazing programming once it’s safe to come together again.

Thank you, and please take good care of yourself and others in this unprecedented time. Together we will find our way.

SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE EVENT!

Help promote the event through social media, emails, your website and/or announcements at upcoming gatherings. If you are part of an organization which can help spread the word in any of these ways, please email Batya to let her know, so that your organization’s marketing partnership will be acknowledged at the event and on Kehilla’s Visioning Climate Justice event webpage. We have a large venue to fill if this will be a successful and profitable event, and we will only be able to do that if we all pitch in to invite people!

In this Google folder are materials you can use for social media, email announcements, and your website: an Envisioning Climate Justice press release and Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and newsletter images and verbiage. Please share our FB event page with friends, family and fans – click here to do so.

VOLUNTEER BEFORE OR DURING THE EVENT!

Volunteers are needed to contact media outlets and potential organizational partners (other nonprofits who help spread the word), distribute posters & postcards around town, and/or volunteer at the 3/28 event (with set up, ushering, ticket sales, etc). If you can help, please email Kehilla Board Chair Catherine.

BECOME AN EVENT SPONSOR!

People in and outside of the Kehilla community are invited to sponsor the event in order help us raise funds for Kehilla’s programs and all that we do in the world. Ticket sales cover only the event costs, so the fundraising aspect of our event comes through sponsorships. Sponsors make a gift above the cost of the ticket price, which can range from $10 to $1,000. You can become a sponsor by making your donation on Kehilla’s donation page, or by sending a check to Kehilla at: 1300 Grand Avenue, Piedmont, CA 94610. We’re also looking to find some corporate sponsors, since some companies use philanthropy or marketing funds for sponsorships. Please contact Marjorie know if you have any connections like this, or questions about event sponsorship.

SPONSOR BENEFITS: Sponsors will be acknowledged on Kehilla’s Visioning Climate Justice event webpage and in the evening’s program if they contribute before March 20 (unless they ask to be anonymous). Some sponsorships come with free tickets to the event — the number depends on the size of your donation.

Event sponsorship supports Kehilla’s programs and the important work we do in the world as a democratic, multiracial community of social progressives and spiritual seekers of all ages, identities, and family constellations. Your sponsorship will support our efforts in the broader community promoting economic justice, supporting local immigrant and refugee families, building racial justice, and collaborating with interfaith groups.

THANK YOU!
