DESCRIPTION:Check the Kehilla High Holy Days website to get tickets and for more info.\n**There is a $5 parking fee on weekends at Lake Temescal (north).** \nTot Services start at 10am: Join Jen Miriam and Alon Altman at the Lake Temescal North picnic area!  Enjoy a Rosh Hashanah experience with puppets\, music and lots of fun for our youngest celebrants and the grown-ups who love them. \nFamily Services start 11am: Join Musical Prayer Leaders Beth Dickinson and Ore Ganin-Pinto\, as well as Kehilla School teachers Red Karpman and Sarah Moss Yanuck at the Lake Temescal North picnic area for a fun\, kid-centered\, musical experience. Designed for children in grades 1 to 6\, and open to all ages. \nBring a blanket or camp chairs to sit on and\, if you want\, bring your own picnic for Rosh Hashanah lunch following the service. \nAny teens who want to get involved in Family Services leadership should reach out to Natalie (Natalie@kehillasynagogue.org).

DESCRIPTION:IN-PERSON: Kehilla’s Annual Summer Retreat 2023\nat Lake Temescal\, Oakland\n\nWe are thrilled you are registering for the Kehilla Annual Summer Retreat 2023!\nABOUT THE RETREAT\nWe look forward to joining together at Lake Temescal’s North Picnic Area on Saturday\, July 8 for Shabbat Beneath the Redwoods from 10am to 4:45pm! We are also excited to again be featuring catering from Jesse Bloom’s Sacred Kitchen company for Saturday’s lunch. A variety of afternoon play shops (a.k.a. workshops with a fun twist) are offered. REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. Walk-ins are invited and welcome to join! We have VERY limited lunch spots available\, so please be sure to bring your own food and folding chair. Shabbat begins at 10am\, lunch at 12:15pm\, and playshops in the afternoon. \nWhere is Lake Temescal?\nJust 10 minutes from Kehilla\, Lake Temescal is located in the upper Rockridge district of Oakland on Broadway. Check out the location on Google Maps. We are gathering at North Picnic Area on the northwest side of Lake Temescal. Facilitated by members of the Community Educators Group.\nMaking Good Trouble with Rabbi David – Report Back from Israel/Palestine\nNature Walk with Leanne Grossman\nTorn Paper College with Teri Gruenwald\nWays to Get Involved in Kehilla – Presentations by Kehilla’s amazing committees\, with a Q&A about what we are up and ways to join us.\n\nCHILDCARE\nFrom 10am – 12:15pm\, during Shabbat services\, we will have childcare for children ages 2-6. Please note we can only provide childcare to folks who register their children in advance! Register your child as soon as you can so we can have a complete picture of how many little ones to expect. 🙂YOUTH PROGRAMS\nFrom 10am – 12:15pm\, during Shabbat services\, we will have Youth Programming for children ages 7-12.\n\nAdditionally\, our afternoon playshops will feature family-friendly options. The retreat spot is also adjacent to the playground at Lake Temescal. \nCOVID PROTOCOLS\nThis event is fully outdoors and masking is optional.
