Our Asian American Pacific Islander community continues to be targeted by violence. We mourn the murder of Pak Ho in the Adams Point neighborhood, and the shootings in Atlanta. We are holding our AAPI members and family close to our hearts, as we stand in solidarity, as a community, with the AAPI community.
Here’s a list of organizations that we can donate to or volunteer with to resist this violence and hate (thanks to Rebekkah Scharf for providing it)
- Read and sign onto Asian Americans Advancing Justice Atlanta’s community statement.
- Donate to the victims’ families in Georgia
- Sign NAPAWF’s petition: The federal government, state, and local community responses to incidents of AAPI hate must be intersectional and responsive to the needs of Asian American women and elders.
- Compassion in Oakland *
- Asian Pacific Environmental Network
- Asian Health Services
- Asian Prisoner Support Committee
- Vietnamese American Community Center of the East Bay **
* Organizing volunteer “community strolling” patrols of Chinatown
** The VACCEB building was badly damaged in an encampment fire last month.
