2024 marks Kehilla Community Synagogue’s 40th anniversary. We aspire to be a vibrant, spiritual, multicultural Jewish community grounded in belonging, equity, and justice, with enough resources to support our leadership staff, and member engagement, with a vision of supporting all of our programs with ease.
Kehilla has grown and members have diverse needs and desires. Many seek more from our community, including a more inclusive culture of belonging, an organizational structure that enables staff and members to thrive, more programming for families, support for activism, more time with spiritual leaders, and other needs yet to be determined. We have been working to change our culture in order to attract and create belonging for all members. To do this, we need to engage in repair from institutional and interpersonal harms, and rethink Kehilla as we know it with structures that help serve our congregation as we continue to push back against habits of White supremacy, classism, ableism, and other forms of oppression.
On January 16th, we held an informational session about this RFP before the proposal due date. A recording of the info session is available below.
