Elizheva Hurvich invites her Kehilla community to celebrate the anniversary of her dad’s death with an event called “Comedy for a Cause”– join if you’re able! Come out and laugh!
Comedy for a Cause celebrates LIFE in honor of the late great Rico Hurvich
Thursday, December 3, 7pm
JCC East Bay, 1414 Walnut Street, Berkeley
The event will take place a year and a day after Rico Hurvich left this planet.
In his honor and memory, this evening of Comedy, music and merriment will include funny man Nato Green, Alicia Dattner, and the one and only Steve Budd. If you’re not coming for the comedy, come for the cocktails. Or Tacos! In addition to FUN, the event is a fundraiser, benefitting the JFCS food pantry (a cause dear to Rico’s heart) and Suzi Green, a family friend. In her first bout with cancer, Rico was instrumental in bringing her to appointments, delivering warm food, and overall helping to support her and her boys. Now, the cancer is back. And Rico’s not. Suzi’s sons are in college and Suzi depends on a lot of people to help her through each day. Since Rico is not around in person, we would like to boost her healing with financial support. Please be generous in your donations! You can buy tickets here: http://comedyforricoscause.bpt.me/
