Help Needed for Immigrant Family

During this year’s High Holy Days, we were called to find ways to welcome immigrants and refugees to our community. Here is a new opportunity to do so!

Last week a family of nine arrived in the United States from Afghanistan. They are being assisted to resettle in the U.S. by Jewish Family and Community Services-East Bay. They are a family of two parents and seven children. They are temporarily staying with Kehilla members Anna, Loel and Esther and are being supported by a Kehilla Welcome Group of eight volunteers. The family is looking for a two or three bedroom apartment/house in the East Bay. They can pay $2000 per month. They have been thoroughly vetted over the past two years prior to their arrival in the US.

If you or someone you know may be willing to rent a home or apartment to this wonderful family, please email Lisa Korwin immediately at lisa@korwinconsulting.com.
