Jewish Tastes from “Cooking Round the World”

For several years Kehilla member Mindy Myers has offered her “Cooking Round the World” (www.cookingroundtheworld) summer camp for kids at Kehilla. Now she has arranged to show us how to make (and eat!) some wonderful twists on some old Jewish favorites from near and far. The classes will be taught by Cooking Round the World’s Chef Educator Lisa Handwerker.
Easy Passover Desserts: Monday, April 4, 7-9pm
Looking for an easy solution to a flourless predicament? We’ve searched around the world and found three tantalizing confections: Piedmontese chocolate hazelnut cake, lemon curd and blueberry pavlovas from New Zealand, and English raspberry-pistachio eton. Blintz Blitz! Monday, May 2, 7-9pm
Learn how to make blintzes for Shavuot in June! Summer fruit and cheese custard wrapped up in a buttery, gluten-free crepe. In this hands-on class, we’ll learn to make three modern iterations of this Shavuot favorite: savory goat cheese and zucchini, honey blackberry, and cinnamon peach blintzes! Mmmmmm!
