VIRTUAL: Faith Trio Open Meeting: Can There Be Peace If There Is No Justice?

Tuesday, January 24 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

VIRTUAL: Faith Trio Open Meeting: Can There Be Peace If There Is No Justice?

You are invited to hear leaders of the Faith Trio* speak about the association between Justice and Peace. Can there be Peace if there is no Justice? Or how about Justice if there is no Peace? Does one come first? What guidance do our faith texts and traditions present as we wrestle with bringing about either Peace or Justice or both?

Following the three presentations there will be an open discussion between participants. What are your thoughts, dreams, or fears about justice and peace? We encourage congregants to come, listen, and share your ideas and feelings about peace and justice. That program is one hour, and you are welcome to attend the 30-minute Business Meeting afterwards.

* The Faith Trio is an association of Muslims, Christians, and Jews in the Oakland area, active for over 20 years. Representatives from three congregations, Montclair Presbyterian Church (MPC), Islamic Cultural Center of Northern CA (ICCNC), and Kehilla Community Synagogue, meet monthly to plan joint interfaith events and to discuss pertinent issues.
