IN-PERSON: Kehilla Purim Carnival in Kehilla Courtyard
We are planning for another in person, outdoor Purim Carnival this year! The Purim Carnival is a wild and wonderful time with games and activities for young people, and relies heavily on volunteer support. Please consider supporting the carnival in one of these three ways:
1. Volunteer during the carnival (sign up here)- we’ve got to set up and clean up! We’ve got bounce house to supervise, bean bag toss, BINGO and freeze dance to run, snacks to distribute, and so much more fun to provide! Feel free to sign up for one shift or multiple, depending on your availability.
2. Donate baked goods for the carnival (sign up here)– Baked goods will need to be dropped off at Kehilla between 1-2pm on Sunday 3/5. Each dozen donated will count as an hour of avodah (volunteer service).
3. Prize Drive: We need prizes for the Purim carnival! Do you have gently used toys that your family is ready to pass on? Let your old toys become new treasures! Keep in mind that Kehilla School has a no (toy) weapons policy.
Bring your donations to Kehilla School, we will have a box out! We are particularly looking for:
small stuffies
bouncy balls
dress up accessories (i.e. toy jewelry, wands, crowns)
toy cars or action figures (no soldiers or police please)
rubix cubes or other small puzzles
fidget toys
stickers
slap bracelets
Cost
$15-45 for self-identified families / pay-what-you-can / Cash Only
No one turned away for lack of funds
Non-Kehilla friends and family welcome
For in-person attendance, please adhere to the COVID Public Health Protocols.
Effective December 1 – This new protocol is designed to decrease the possibility that the COVID, Flu or RSV virus spread at Kehilla.
Anyone experiencingANY symptoms of potentially contagious illness should remain at home and access Kehilla events virtually, regardless of vaccination status or even if you have received a negative COVID test result.
Everyone attending a program, event, service or meeting held at Kehilla must stay current on all COVID vaccines and boosters, though we will no longer ask for proof upon entry. We encourageeveryone to take a rapid antigen test before coming to Kehilla.
All in-person attendees are expected to be masked indoors when not eating: N95, KN95, KF94 or comparable mask required.
***This event might be outside, so we recommend that you bring layers (it may be cold).***
All events at Kehilla are scent-free. Click here for information about what it means to be scent-free.
