Shana Tovah! The annual Kehilla brunch is part of Kehilla’s New Year’s celebration and after a long hiatus they’re back. We have 4 generous hosts in 4 geographic areas of our congregation who have offered to open their yards/houses, so that you and your family may gather with other Kehilla members to get to know those in your home neighborhood.
Please choose from the closest host indicated below and Kehilla members check your email for ways to RSVP to each host. Please bring a vegetarian dish to share. Coffee, tea and juice will be provided by your hosts. As some brunches may be outside, dress accordingly.
East Oakland (wheelchair accessible)
There are 3 steps up to front door but the plan is to be outside in the accessible backyard. (Access to the bathroom is accessible.) One dog lives in the house.
North Oakland/Rockridge
No steps to the backyard. There are six steps inside to the bathroom. One small toy poodle lives in the house but will likely be in his crate.
Richmond/El Cerrito
There are 7 steps or a hill to walk down, and then 7 steps up into the house (brunch will be indoors with seating either in the house or on the deck). One cat lives in the house but will be kept in a separate room.
Central Berkeley
Accessible through gate down a paved path and one step up to deck. One small dog will be in the house. Bathroom in the house.
We hope you will have a wonderful time together, gathering in community to share food and friendship.
