Becky is a long-time middle school educator. She appreciates the combination of curiosity and skepticism that middle schoolers bring to their learning, and loves building opportunities for them to access deep thinking and discovery.
Jewish learning has always been a big part of her life, starting in the children’s section of the Jewish bookstore her family owned. After majoring in religion in college, she has continued to pursue Jewish learning as an adult through varied routes such as organizing a feminist Torah study group and participating in the Jewish Studio Project’s Studio Immersive.
Outside of work, she serves on the board of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights. She also collects creative hobbies, including choir, ukulele, junk journals, making comics, watercolor, felting, and many more.
