This is an invitation: to step up as a leader in your community. We need you now more than ever. For some, leadership is service; for some, leadership is a form of spiritual practice. Kehilla is our home, our place of worship and learning, the place and the people we go to in times of hardship, an anchor for our social justice work.
There are many, many folks who lead in all sorts of ways: spiritual leadership, pastoral counseling, supporting those who are ill, performing the final mitzvah of preparing our dead loved ones, social justice leadership, board service, board committee service. This engagement sustains us individually and our congregation as a whole. If ever there was a time to join collectively, it is now.
The board is committed to maintaining the health of our community during this time: the financial health, the wellbeing of our clergy and staff, solving key long-term issues, and moving forward to create a bold vision for us post-pandemic. There are a number of ways for you to join us on this journey.
Hineinu. Now more than ever, we need to build our resilience. This is an opportunity to help shepherd your community through hard times and envision a healthy, thriving future.
There are opportunities to join a committee if you are unsure if you have the time or energy to fully participate as a board member –the Finance, Generosity (fundraising), and Board Development committees welcome non-board members.
To explore these opportunities you can contact any board members; contact information is below. You can also refer to an article Karen Cohn wrote – Kehilla Board Service Myths and Facts – shared in Kol Kehilla last November.
If you are interested in exploring participation on the Board of Trustees please fill out this short application.
And while this may not be for you at this time, all members of the community are welcome and encouraged to join the monthly board meeting the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6 pm. The agenda is posted close to the date of the meeting on the board’s web page, under the “Calendar and Communications” heading . The Zoom link is on the agenda.
We hope to hear from you, and see you at a board meeting.
Hineinu!
