The Greening Committee works on environmental issues in our congregation, in our homes, and in the wider political arena. The committee represents Kehilla in both the East Bay Clean Power Alliance and Oakland Climate Action Coalition, actively participating in their work to create East Bay Community Energy (community choice energy agency for Alameda County) and bring to fruition and unanimous vote Oakland’s 2030 Equity Climate Action Plan. We’ve added more solar panels to our roof; worked with No Coal In Oakland, and on other local climate justice actions. We welcome new members and new ideas. Contact greening@kehillasynagogue.org.
