The Economic Activism program of the American Friends Service Committee is looking for a researcher for a short-term project during August and September 2015. The work is part time, flexible, preferably out of the AFSC San Francisco office at 65 Ninth Street, San Francisco.
We are looking for an excellent researcher and writer, a motivated self-starter, independent and detail-oriented, knowledgeable and caring about mass incarceration and the privatized prison industries. Preference to experienced corporate researchers or activists with a strong background in economic research for movement work. Less experienced students or activists may apply too, for a research internship position.
Tasks will include: corporate research about the prison industrial complex; collecting information and writing summary profiles about companies; arranging and updating our on-line databases.
