Embodied Jewish Learning offers all people the chance to experience Jewish wisdom through movement practices that nourish their minds, bodies, hearts and souls and empowers them to fully embody and express their unique role in creating positive change for our world. We offer classes, workshops, on-line learning, retreats, teacher trainings, and strategic consultation and guidance for Jewish Wellness Initiatives and for the Educating for a Jewish Spiritual Life Project at the Institute for Jewish Spirituality.

Julie Emden, Halprin Practitioner, RYT-500 founded and directs Embodied Jewish Learning in the San Francisco Bay Area. A graduate of five fellowship and teaching certification programs related to her work as a Jewish educator, Iyengar-based yoga instructor and movement/expressive artist, Julie has nineteen years of experience guiding others in exploring Jewish wisdom, text and practices via the body in a variety of settings.
