Tu B’shvat in the Redwoods

February 12, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 3:30 pm

At Roberts Regional Recreation Area, Oakland

Co-sponsored by Kehilla. Hazzan Shulamit and Maggid Zelig Golden will co-lead a creative, experiential, nature-based “seder” ceremony in Roberts Regional park in Oakland. Amazing toddler, youth , and teen programming available too. Join Wilderness Torah as we celebrate the New Year of the Trees in the East Bay Redwoods! As the days lengthen, we pause during Tu B’Shvat to celebrate the unseen awakening of spring. Deep within the trees, the sap starts flowing as the trees begin a new cycle.

In the tradition of the Kabbalists (16th century mystics of Tsfat, Israel), we will gather in the forest Sunday morning to celebrate the season through song, meditation, and Tu B’Shvat teachings.

In the afternoon, join us for an ecology walk around the beautiful redwood groves, a family concert with Octopretzel,  an introduction to tracking, and many other exciting Tu B’Shvat inspired offerings.

Tickets on sale until Thursday, February 9   You can register here:
