An event every month that begins at 7:00 pm on day Fourth of the month, repeating until May 27, 2019
Join Rabbi Dev for a deep dive into some of the juiciest parts of Jewish practice and life. This monthly class is required for Conversion and Adult B’nei Mitzvah Students and is open to all.
All Sessions will meet on Monday from 7:00-9:00pm in the Fireside Room.
Sessions & dates are as follows:
October 22 – Session 1: What is Judaism, Anyway?
November 26 – Session 2: A Brief History of Judaism Through Our Sacred Texts
December 17 – Session 3: Lashon Kodesh – Hebrew as a Holy Language
January 28 – Session 4: Siddur & Liturgy: Jewish Prayer
February 25- Session 5: The Jewish Year Cycle
March 25 – Session 6: The Jewish Life Cycle
April 22 – Session 7: Behaving – Halacha and post-Halachic Judaisms
May 13 – Session 8 (Changed from May 27th): Belonging and Believing – Community/Family as the units of Jewish practice; Jewish Theologies
Students are strongly encouraged to attend all sessions:
Cost: Members – $198.00 for all sessions
Non-Members – $234.00 for all sessions
Note: This is a continuing class with ongoing registration.
