Essentials of Judaism

Join Rabbi Dev for a deep dive into some of the juiciest parts of Jewish practice and life. This monthly class is required for Conversion and Adult B’nei Mitzvah Students and is open to all.

All Sessions will meet on every Third Tuesday from 7:00-9:00pm in the Fireside Room.

The topics that are expected to be covered are as follows:

    • What is Judaism, Anyway?
    • A Brief History of Judaism Through Our Sacred Texts
    • Lashon Kodesh – Hebrew as a Holy Language
    • Siddur & Liturgy: Jewish Prayer
    • The Jewish Year Cycle
    • The Jewish Life Cycle
    • Behaving – Halacha and post-Halachic Judaisms
    • Belonging and Believing – Community/Family as the units of Jewish practice; Jewish Theologies

Students are strongly encouraged to attend all sessions:

Cost: Members – $198.00 for all sessions
Non-Members – $234.00 for all sessions

Note: This is a continuing class with ongoing registration.

Free parking will be available in the Kehilla parking lot.
