A Contemplative Shabbat Morning Service
Saturday, March 25th at 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM – Shabbat Davening
Kehilla is thrilled to host Rabbi Jeff Roth, the founder and director of the Awakened Heart Project for Contemplative Judaism, and co-founder of Elat Chayyim, the Jewish Spiritual Retreat Center where he served as executive director and spiritual director for 13 years. He will lead a contemplative Shabbat morning service for us as well as an afternoon meditation/mindfulness practice session.
Many of us have studied and meditated with Jeff over many years and love his spiritual leadership. It is rare for us to have a guest lead our Shabbat services, so you’ll know that this will be good.
We will chant verses from our Shabbat liturgy, have an incredible Torah service, have moments of silence, learning, and just “being”, all of which greatly nurtures our souls and our experience of the divine in this sacred space. Join us for this unique opportunity!
ALSO: During the Torah service Rabbi David will officiate the baby naming of the new born baby daughter of Josh Daniels and Tracy Smith, who will co-sponsor the Kiddush in honor of their daughters baby naming and Rita Sklar will also co-sponsor the Kiddush in honor and celebration of her husband Joseph Sklar’s 75th birthday immediately following the service.
All events at Kehilla are scent-free. Click here for information about what it means to be scent-free.
