Shabbat Morning Service

November 24 @ 10:30 am - 12:15 pm

Join us for Shabbat Morning Service with Rabbi David. What can it mean to see the face of God in the face of every person you encounter? Is this poetry, metaphor, literally true? All of the above? This morning’s Thanksgiving Torah reading is Va-Yishlach from Genesis chapters 32 and 33 including Jacob’s wrestling with the angel and his reunion with Esau. Hidden in the stories is the face-of-God question. We will wrestle with the text and discuss it. If you want to leyn, the verses are Gen. 32:25-27, Gen. 32:28-31, Gen. 33:8-11.

Kiddush will follow the service. Please bring a vegetarian dish to share for the Kiddush after services.

In the Fireside Room.
