Kehilla is honored to present a poetry reading by Dina Elenbogen, a widely published and award winning poet and prose writer, and author of the memoir, Drawn from Water: an American Poet, an Ethiopian Family, an Israeli Story (BkMK University of Missouri Press) and the poetry collection Apples of the Earth (Spuyten Duyvil, New York).

Her work has appeared in anthologies such as City of the Big Shoulders (University of Iowa Press) Beyond Lament (Northwestern University press), Where We Find Ourselves (SUNYPress) and magazines and journals such as Prairie Schooner, Poet Lore, Bellevue Literary Review, Tikkun, December, Paterson Literary Review and New City Chicago. She has received fellowships from the Illinois arts Council and the Ragdale Foundation. She has an MFA in poetry from the Iowa Writer’s Workshop and teaches creative writing at the University of Chicago Graham School.

Volunteers are needed to help with greeting, manage sign ins and sales from 3:15 to 5pm.  Please contact Sharon at sjgrodin@comcast.net if you are available to help.
