MULTI-ACCESS: Crowning: A Creative Arts Journey and the Tree of Life
Facilitated by Dr. Laura Rifkin and Kohenet Yael Schonzeit
In this workshop, we will be using the creative arts to celebrate our divinity. Drawing on the energies of Keter (the top most sephirot of the Tree of Life), which means crown, we will be making mixed-media crowns/paper crowns/crowns from nature that represent our highest self. This workshop is near Shavuot, where people made and wore flower crowns to symbolize bounty (a ritual that is still done in specific Jewish communities today.)
After making our crowns, we will share them with a partner and have a chance to talk about some of the symbols that came up for us in the process. Then, we will engage in a simplified self-marriage ceremony where we will write vows and commit to accepting ourselves with deep compassion, self-acceptance, and as a divine child of the universe.
No Art Experience is Necessary. Basic art supplies are included for those attending in person. Those taking it online will receive a short supply list. Everyone will receive some suggestions of optional ephemera to gather and bring to the workshop.
This is a Multi-Access workshop: In-person at Urban Adamah and online via Zoom.
