Join Project Shamash, Kehilla Synagogue, and Urban Adamah for a pre-High Holidays pizza party for Jews of Color (JOC), Sephardic and Mizrachi Jews. In community with fellow Jews of Color, we will prepare ourselves for the High Holidays, share ways we honor this time and explore new rituals and practices, set intentions for the new year, and build our own farm fresh cob-oven pizzas!
Please note: This is an affinity space for Jews of Color (JOC) who are marginalized by whiteness either racially or culturally, AND strongly and fabulously root themselves in other diverse identities including Black, Indigenous, Latino, Asian, Sephardi, Mizrachi and more. Non-Jewish People of Color are also welcome to attend. White allies are invited to support by donating to Jews in All Hues, Black Jewish Liberation Collective, and/or Ammud: the Jews of Color Torah Academy. If you have any questions about the intentionality behind the space, please contact Bekkah at email@example.com.
COVID Safety: We ask that all attendees, including children, take a rapid COVID test upon arrival. Tests will be available on site, but please bring your own test if you have one. Anyone who tests positive will not be asked to participate. If you are feeling sick in any way, e.g. congested, or feverish, please stay home and care for yourself. This event will take place outdoors. Masks are highly encouraged but will not be required.
Accessibility: Urban Adamah is a wheelchair-accessible, outdoor space. A parking lot is available with ADA parking. For safety and accessibility reasons, PLEASE DO NOT WEAR SCENTED PRODUCTS to this event. This includes scented shampoos, perfumes, colognes, sunscreens, deodorants etc. Learn more about scent/fragrance-free spaces here.
By RSVP’ing you become a member of Bend the Arc: Jewish Action. We’ll send you updates about national campaign work and local organizing in your area. We’ll respect your privacy.
