Tisha B’Av is a fast day in the Jewish tradition commemorating multiple destructions throughout history, including the destruction of both temples in Jerusalem. Join IfNotNow in a communal gathering to commemorate the continuous destruction of Jerusalem as the Occupation lives on. Together, we will pray, sing, and honor the pain that lives on in our tradition and the pain that has been caused to Palestinians under the name of Judaism.
We will be reading the book of Eichah (Lamentations) along with other songs and readings.
This event is being held in partnership with Kehilla Community Synagogue and Beyt Tikkun Synagogue.
If you would like to include readings for the ceremony please include them here.
