We will continue to build our decoding skills by acquainting ourselves with Kehilla’s Shabbat Siddur –
We will practice reading, singing, chanting the prayers found therein
We will study some very basic grammar found in the prayers
And we will have time to form personal responses to these prayers and to the language itself.

Location: At Bracha’s house (address given upon registration)

Dates: Sunday’s – April 29th, May 6th, 13th, and 20th – A 4 session class that can be continued with sufficient interest.

Time: 10:30-11:15am lesson and 11:15am-12:00pm study hall (an important component to your success).

Cost: $72 for 4 sessions

Call or text Bracha at 510-703-2220 with any questions. Especially if you wonder if your reading skills are advanced enough!

*Decoding means “reading” Hebrew but without necessarily understanding what you are reciting. The level I’m looking for is knowing most of the letters and vowels and understanding how words are constructed. If you are at that level, this class will bump you along in building your decoding skill.
