An event every week that begins at 7:20 pm on Sunday, repeating until Sunday, November 22, 2020
(Class full; if you would like to be notified for the next class series, email firstname.lastname@example.org)
Taught by: Bracha Stone.
Bracha Stone is offering a series designed for those who desire to get friendly and familiar with this precious language.
Beginning Hebrew: Decode the Alef-Bet will be taught in 6 sessions during the 8 weeks from Oct 4 through Nov 22, from 7:20p.m. to no later than 8:45p.m. There are eight dates on the calendar, but you will be charged for six classes; the last two dates are in case they are needed as make-up dates. There is the possibility that the class will continue beyond November if interest continues.
Dates: Sundays – Oct. 4, Oct. 11, Oct. 18, Oct. 25, Nov. 1, Nov. 8 (Nov. 15 and Nov. 18 only if needed in case of earlier cancellation; there will be 6 sessions total).
•If you have absolutely NO knowledge of Hebrew, this is the right place for you.
•If you want to remember and renew your relationship to Hebrew this is the right place for you.
•If you are drawn to Queer Talmud Camp and knowledge of the Aleph-Bet is an obstacle, this is the right place for you.
•The good news is that Hebrew, unlike English, is amazingly phonetic, has fewer letters and simpler vowels.
•The even better news is that the first step into this language is an immersion into the mystery and beauty of each letter and each word. No need to become an expert to start to love this language.
Sign up early as the class is expected to be full and you’ll need time to get your book.
